02. PLAN AHEAD
As your wedding photographer, I will be in touch with you in advance to plan your wedding day timeline. This will ensure you have enough time for all the necessary photos, leaving you to avoid any stress or rushed photos on the day.
03. GET READY EARLY & CONSIDER A FIRST LOOK
Starting to get ready early will give you more time for pre-wedding photos and will help you to feel relaxed and calm throughout the day. A ‘first look’ will provide more time to embrace the moments you share with guests during cocktail hour after your ceremony. Additionally, a ‘first look’ is a great way to create a quiet moment, full of genuine emotions of your love and excitement for one another.
With a ‘first look’ your wedding timeline will follow this order: getting ready – first look – couple photos – wedding party photos – ceremony – family photos – cocktail hour with friends and family.
04. CHOOSE A MEANINGFUL LOCATION
Choose a location for your photos that has a special meaning to you and your partner, or that offers beautiful scenery and lighting. Throughout my career I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings in several beautiful places, from family properties, rustic barns and farms, woodland forests, lush gardens, and more!
05. dON’T BE AFRAID TO GET CREATIVE
I’m here to help come up with unique and creative photo ideas that reflect your personality and style. This can make your photos even more special and memorable. You’ll get a preview of what to expect throughout your engagement photos. You’ll notice plenty of candid moments that reflect your dynamic as a couple. During your wedding, I’ll take photos that tell a story of how your day took place, so that you can remember exactly how it felt. I’ll be there to capture all the thought and detail you put into making your day special!
06. PREPARE FOR FAMILY PHOTOS and wedding party photos
Throughout the wedding planning process, I’ll be in touch with documents to keep organized. You’ll receive a list to help choose all the variations and groupings for your family photos. We’ll be able to stay on track, and create a smooth process for your loved ones. Your wedding party photos will include both formal and candid photos, you’ll get all the shots you want, plus the fun moments in between. These photos will become treasured memories and can be a great way to honour your loved ones.
07. EMBRACE THE DETAILS
As your wedding photographer, I’m here to capture all the little details of your wedding day, including the dress, rings, flowers, and decorations. These photos will help to tell the story of your day, and showcase your style and personality.

Cass at Cass Marie Photography is incredible. My husband and I are big into the outdoors, hiking and nature. We also love and value candid photos over super posey and traditional wedding photos. Cass worked with our vision and brought it to life.
