Common concerns & their solutions…
01.
POOR WEATHER
Rest assured that your photos will still turn out fantastic no matter the weather. In order to successfully document your wedding day, I am adaptable and prepared for the unpredictable. I come prepared with enough clear umbrellas for a full wedding party. Clear umbrellas allow me to photograph your beautiful faces without the distraction of any extra shadows from a dark or coloured umbrella – and they look great!
You’ll want to check in with your venue to ensure they have a rain plan available in the event of poor weather. Often times you’ll be able to relocate your ceremony location in a dry area. However, if you would like to embrace the rain, make sure to stock up on umbrellas for your guests and ask your venue ahead of time if this is something they can accommodate.
My best advice is to embrace the weather that unfolds on your wedding day. Everything will come together as it should, and it will be an amazing celebration no matter what the weather has planned!
02.
HOW TO FIT EVERYTHING INTO ONE DAY
I’ll help you keep on schedule by creating a wedding photography timeline, preparing a family photo list, and providing time to capture all the unique details.
Quick tip: A “first look” between you and your partner, prior to the ceremony, will allow more time for couple photos, wedding party photos, and family photos. You’ll have time after the ceremony to engage with your guests and enjoy the party! There is also plenty of time throughout reception to plan fun additional moments to interact with your guests, such as a photo with each table. You’ll be able to make time for everything you had envisioned your special day to be!
I’m here to guide you through each event of your wedding day smoothly.
03.
WE ARE “CAMERA SHY”
For reassurance, please know that 90% of couples mention this before getting their photo taken, and they always feel confident and comfortable afterwards. I completely understand, this may be your first time getting professional photos done. Not to worry, it’s my job as a photographer to create a comfortable environment for you and your partner to be your authentic selves. I’ll guide you through everything step-by-step. You’ll spend the photo session interacting with your partner, reminiscing on past dates and fun times, and giggling over all of the silliness that is brought up. I have plenty of prompts to help craft a light-hearted mood for your photo session, so that you can feel relaxed and upbeat about being in front of the lens.
Engagement photos are a big factor in easing the worry of feeling awkward in front of the camera. With the help of spending time together before your wedding day, you’ll be feeling confident and comfortable when it’s time for your special day.
Your love story has been an adventure from the start, and I will make sure your wedding photos reflect the beauty of that. When I take your photos you’ll get all the shots you want, plus the genuine candid moments in between!
